Unlock Leadership Insight with LEGO® Serious Play® methodology
Facilitated workshops in Wales using LEGO® Serious Play® for leadership development and organisational change.
What is LEGO® Serious Play?®
LEGO® Serious Play® is a hands‑on facilitation method that helps people think, communicate, and solve problems more effectively. Instead of talking in circles, participants build models that represent their ideas, making complex issues easier to understand and discuss.
It creates a level playing field where every voice is heard, encourages creative thinking, and leads to faster, clearer decisions.
LEGO® Serious Play® is widely used in leadership development and organisational change because it helps teams explore challenges, align around shared goals, and unlock new insights together.
Lego® Serious Play® for Leadership Development
Team Identity and Purpose
LEGO® Serious Play®gives leaders and teams a shared language to explore who they are and why they exist. By building models together, participants surface unspoken assumptions, clarify purpose, and leave with a stronger, more aligned sense of direction.
Strategic Thinking
Using bricks to model challenges and opportunities helps leaders step back from day‑to‑day noise and see the bigger picture. Complex ideas become tangible, making it easier to test scenarios, explore options, and make more confident strategic decisions.
Leadership Capability Development
LEGO® Serious Play® invites leaders to experiment, reflect, and learn in real time. It supports the development of core leadership capabilities, such as empathy, adaptability, and systems thinking, through hands‑on, memorable experiences rather than abstract theory.
Lego® Serious Play® as an OD Intervention
Culture Exploration
LEGO® Serious Play® enables teams to surface the “real” culture; how things actually feel day to day. By building models of current and desired culture, organisations can have honest conversations and co‑create practical steps towards a healthier way of working.
Conflict Resolution
Instead of debating positions, participants build models that represent their perspectives and needs. The focus shifts from “who’s right” to “what’s really going on”, creating space for empathy, shared understanding, and more constructive ways forward.
Vision and Strategy Building
LEGO® Serious Play® helps groups move from vague aspirations to a shared, concrete vision of the future. By building and connecting models of goals, priorities, and constraints, teams can align around a strategy that everyone understands and feels ownership of.
“Laura facilitated a fantastic Lego Serious Play session for our OD Team!”
Laura facilitated a fantastic Lego Serious Play session for our OD Team. Laura was able to create a safe space for our team to explore challenges in a non confrontational way. The different builds, starting with some individual ones and moving up to group ones was a excellent way to open up conversations, all for understanding of how people were feeling and then looking for solutions. Laura had a wonderful facilitation style, supporting the group with prompts to navigate our way through. It was a really fun, creative and engaging session.

“Thanks for a great session Laura!”
Laura facilitated a great LEGO session for my team and I. Laura was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable in the space to learn, share and reflect on our thoughts and our experiences safely. The LEGO session was a really interesting way of understanding each others ideas and expectations in a creative way which enabled us to think outside the box when trying to address the challenges that we face, all with the help Laura’s facilitation during the session. Thanks for a great session Laura!
